The Thečhíȟila Collective

signal-2022-04-30-144012_001.jpeg

The Thečhíȟila Collective is an Indigenous-led collective that supports communities in need through mutual aid. As we work to support our relatives needs, we are also dedicated to LandBack, decolonization, abolition, and collective liberation as antidotes to the societal violence that forces our relatives into needing support.

In our dedicated efforts for the LandBack program, the Thečhíȟila Collective has acquired 9 city lots in Detroit, MI to better serve the Indigenous peoples of Michigan. This allows us to offer free space for Indigenous led events, Pow-Wows, community Sweatlodges, fundraisers and community gardens to teach sustainable regenerative gardening practices, and provide vital foods to the indigenous people in the metro area.

We currently have an active GoFundMe and CashApp to collect funds that we use to continue our efforts to distribute resources such as medical supplies, building supplies, shelter, almost anything to ensure our communities are cared for in the ways they need, prioritizing Indigenous Elders and youth.
